Privacy Policy — Sweep
Effective date: July 3, 2026 • App: Sweep (Android com.yaniv.sweep)
Contact: yanivrw2@gmail.com
Sweep ("the app", "we") helps you clean up your phone's photos and videos by
swiping to keep or delete them. This policy explains what the app accesses and
how your information is handled.
Summary
- Sweep reads the photos and videos on your device only to show them to you inside the app so you can review and delete them.
- Your photos and videos never leave your device. We do not upload, copy, store, or transmit them to any server. We have no server and no account system.
- The app shows ads via Google AdMob, which collects limited device data to serve those ads (see "Advertising" below).
Information the app accesses
- Photos and videos (and their metadata such as size, date, album). Accessed via Android media permissions solely to display your library inside the app and to delete items you choose. This content is processed on your device and is never sent anywhere by us.
- App settings and review choices (e.g. which items you marked "keep", your selected batch size and keep-duration). Stored locally on your device only.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect, upload, or share your photos, videos, or their contents.
- We do not require an account, name, email, or sign-in.
- We have no analytics or tracking SDK of our own.
Deleting items
When you delete an item, Sweep uses Android's system delete request: the OS
shows a confirmation dialog, and only after you approve is the
item removed. Deletion is permanent — the file is erased from your device
and the space is freed immediately. Sweep never deletes anything without your
confirmation.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Sweep displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads
SDK may collect and process information such as your advertising ID,
device information, coarse/approximate location, and ad interaction data. This is
handled by Google, not by us. Google's use of this data is governed by:
You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings
(Settings → Privacy / Google → Ads).
Your choices and rights (GDPR / CCPA)
- You can revoke Sweep's photo/video permission at any time in your device Settings → Apps → Sweep → Permissions.
- For users in regions requiring consent (e.g. EU/EEA, UK), a consent prompt for personalized ads may be shown before ads are personalized.
- To request information about data handled through AdMob, contact us at the email above; data processed by Google is subject to Google's policies.
Children
Sweep is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above.
